"As a working mom I want something easy to create with my kids. So I was excited to pick an activity from Ready Hands from Kindergarten. The play dough mats were a hit! Not only did my kids have a blast, but they also practiced developmental skills while playing. To me, that is invaluable alone! Thank you, Ready Hands!" ~Monica

PLAY is the key!
So what?
As a pediatric occupational therapist, parents approach me every day, concerned that their kids won't be ready for kindergarten. It will be here before you know it, and I can't wait to walk alongside you as you prepare your child for the journey. My goal is to help you know that you have built a strong foundation for your kiddo to stand on as new challenges come. And, of course, to instill a love of learning all along the way!
You've got this! And I'm here to help.
Can't I just find free fine motor activities on Pinterest?
Sure you can. There are tons of free fine motor activities floating around the internet, but what you won't find is...
Is there a wrong way to teach fine motor skills?
Actually...yes. I have been in so many preschool classrooms where kiddos really are developing horrible writing habits and more that will follow them all through their school year.
For example, kids are often given letter and name writing worksheets and then just left to kind of figure it out on their own. Meanwhile, their little hands aren't even ready to hold a pencil, and bad habits are being formed as they practice doing it "wrong" over and over again.
Do I need any special skills to teach my child using these activities?
Absolutely not!!! You do not need to be a teacher or an OT or even be particularly creative in any way to be successful in teaching your child colors and shapes while building a strong fine motor foundation.
In this kit, I give you everything you need...
Will I need to print it?
Yes, you will receive the introduction, along with all 20+ sets of hands-on activities to learn color & shapes in this kit as a digital pdf. You do not have to print them all at once either. Just print as you learn. If you do not have a printer of your own, consider using the local library, who often offer very reasonably priced printing, or your local Staples.
Do I really need this many activities to teach my kiddo the alphabet?
With more than 500 pages of fun activities, you can be sure to find something that will hold your child's interest. We cover three main areas of learning letters...identification, letter sounds and writing.
A small investment in this learning kit will give you the peace of mind that you are leading your child down the path of success and independence.
